| Life cycle assessment (LCA) and Health Product Declaration (HPD) tools can be utilized as a roadmap for product/process improvement. By incorporating data derived from LCA and HPD, products and processes are streamlined to create construction products with lower health and environmental risks/emissions through better raw material selection. This session introduces LCA and HPD tools and illustrates their applicability in product and process screening resulting in overall improvements regarding health and environmental impacts. At the end of this session attendees will understand the basics of LCA and HPD and how results can impact the process and the raw material selection for a product.
