| Supply Chain Issues: Removal of a Prohibited Substance (PSX 2019 On Demand) | |
| There are many difficulties encountered in removing a prohibited substance from a complex supply chain, including unexpected areas such as material notifications or engineering drawings. We will focus on how to deal with suppliers, including informing of regulation changes and finding alternatives to prohibited substances. Strong communication is needed within the supply chain, including areas of development, review of prohibition regulations, and handling system complexity. Participants will follow a two-year supply chain project, from the start of published regulation through the complete removal of a prohibited substance. There will be an emphasis on supply chain complexity and what unexpected obstacles product stewards need to anticipate.
