| Society expects that business will increasingly transition to more sustainable and 'circular' products. This talk will explore how the Roche Group is pursuing a dramatic transformation of its product stewardship program, and offer some perspective from lessons learned. In 2019, for the eleventh consecutive year, Roche was ranked one of the most sustainable healthcare companies in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. In 2020 Roche unveiled its ambition to improve product stewardship performance by 50 percent in ten years. This session will explain key elements that anchor Roche's transformation strategy, efforts to embed product stewardship in business processes, build a community of practice, promote circularity, and develop a new tool and goals to quantify product improvements and drive progress. The tool, co-created by internal experts and environmental resources management, embodies Roche's principles of good design for each stage of the product lifecycle.
The presenters will share their excitement about this transformational journey, offer advice based on lessons learned, and spark conversations with attendees about their own efforts to pursue product stewardship excellence.
