| SCIP is an acronym standing for Substances of Concern In Products. Set to launch on January 5, 2021, the new SCIP database creates additional reporting responsibilities under the updated European Union (EU) Waste Framework Directive (WFD). Through 2020, suppliers of articles containing substances of very high concern (SVHCs) must prepare to meet these additional requirements. In this session, James Calder, vice president of Compliance and Regulatory Programs at Assent Compliance, will guide attendees through the process of creating a complete SCIP database submission while discussing reporting expectations and sharing best practices for continued regulatory compliance.
