Chemicals Management Program Continuous Improvement: Case Study and Lessons Learned (PSX 2020 On Demand)
Product stewardship continuous improvement activities provide opportunities for businesses to increase efficiency and output quality, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction. There are a variety of tools at a product steward's disposal that are available to support continuous improvement. In the first part of this session, we will discuss some of the continuous improvement techniques that should be in every product steward's toolkit. During the second part of this session, participants will learn about W.L. Gore's chemical management program and the continuous improvement process that W.L. Gore is using to further leverage best practices and drive product stewardship consistency across the entire business. We will also delve into the challenges associated with chemical management in a business founded on materials science innovation. Best practices and lessons learned from W.L. Gore's continuous improvement experience will be discussed.
