OELs as the Ultimate Product Risk Management Tool: A Call to Action
Chemical manufacturers may face negative consequences if more isn’t done to support the development of new OELs and ensure existing OELs remain valid in light of current available data, especially when more and more of that data is being placed into the public domain. This session will explore the use of occupational exposure limits (OELs) as one of the most effective tools for chemical manufacturers to manage product risk throughout a substance’s industrial life-cycle. Attendees will be asked to examine and prioritize their current product portfolios to identify substances where the OEL or measurement methods are not sufficiently valid.
