Current Perspectives in Food Contact Regulations
Food-contact regulations are a key area of interest for those companies that manufacture products which are used in packaging applications, as well as those companies that manufacturer final food packaging articles or are in the supply chain. Food-contact regulations continue to evolve globally and customer needs and demands for compliant products continue to grow. This session will focus on the U.S. regulations as a framework, which will include both a case study of the issues faced when a potential contamination/adulteration of a product event occurs and current “hot topics” in the food contact regulatory arena. A review of the emerging food contact regulatory regimes will also be provided, including China, Japan, India and MERCOSUR.
